He is a seasoned academic, researcher, and administrator with extensive experience in teaching, research, postgraduate supervision, and academic leadership. His scholarly work bridges physics and medicine, with a strong focus on the application of physical principles to healthcare delivery, diagnostics, treatment, and radiation safety.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He was born on 21 October 1976 in Jos, Nigeria, and is a native of Nasarawa State, Awe Local Government Area. Prof. Ibrahim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Nasarawa State University, Keffi, a Master of Science degree in Applied Physics from the University of Jos, and a Ph.D. in Radiation and Medical Physics from Nasarawa State University, Keffi. He also earned a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Bradford, United Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Professor Ibrahim\u2019s research interests lie primarily in Medical Physics, encompassing Radiation Therapy Physics, Diagnostic Imaging Physics, Nuclear Medicine Physics, Health Physics, environmental radioactivity, radiation dose assessment, quality assurance in medical imaging, and medical device development and calibration. His work addresses critical issues related to radiation exposure, patient safety, environmental protection, and optimization of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in healthcare settings.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He has progressed steadily through the academic ranks at Nasarawa State University, Keffi, serving as Graduate Assistant, Assistant Lecturer, Lecturer II, Lecturer I, Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor, and attaining the rank of Professor in 2023. In addition to his teaching and research roles, he has held several key administrative positions, including Acting Head of the Department of Physics and Director of the Career Development Centre. He has also served as a Visiting Senior Lecturer at the Federal University of Lafia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Professor Ibrahim has supervised a large number of postgraduate students at the PGD, MSc, and PhD levels, many of whom have conducted research in medical radiation dosimetry, diagnostic imaging, environmental radiation studies, and radiation protection across different regions of Nigeria.
