Abdulaziz Ibrahim Muhammad is a Nigerian national, male, born on 25th August 1973. He hails from Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State and is married. He is multilingual, with proficiency in Hausa, Arabic, and English languages.
He began his educational journey at Baptist Transferred Primary School, Keffi, where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate in 1986. He proceeded to the School for Higher Islamic Studies, Jos, and earned a Higher Islamic Certificate in 1994. He later attended the College of Education, Akwanga, where he obtained the Nigeria Certificate of Education (NCE) in 2005. In 2007, he was registered with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria. He furthered his education at Nasarawa State University, Keffi, where he obtained a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in Islamic Studies in 2011 and was granted NYSC Exemption the same year. In 2023, he completed a Master’s degree in Guidance and Counselling at Nasarawa State University, Keffi, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D in Guidance and Counselling at Sokoto State University, Sokoto.
His working experience spans several years in the education and public service sectors. He served with the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), Abuja, from 1994 to 2004. He later worked with the Universal Basic Education (UBE), FCT, Abuja, from 2004 to 2014. Since 2014, he has been engaged as a Resource Person at the Institute of Education, Nasarawa State University, Keffi, where he continues to contribute to teaching and academic development.
In the area of research and scholarship, he has published in reputable journals. His publications include “Learning Disability among Students of Secondary School in Sokoto State: Implication for Counseling” published in the Madorawa Journal of Arts and Social Sciences (MAJASS), Vol. 4 No. 1, in 2021, co-authored with Haliru, S. and Mohammed, Z.A. Another publication is “Health and Socio-Economic Factors as Determinants of Women Reproductive Rights: Counselling to the Rescue” published in 2019.
He has actively participated in several national and international conferences and workshops. These include the 1st International Conference on Curriculum Reforms in a Technology Driven World held at Nasarawa State University, Keffi, in October 2024; the National Conference on Education, Security and Post-COVID Sustainable Development in Nigeria held in February 2023; the APROCON National Conference on Mental Health Issues and Counseling in Nigeria in 2019; and the AFROCON Annual International Conference held in November 2023 at Nasarawa State University, Keffi. He also attended workshops such as the Workshop on Scientific Research in Education themed “Education is Research” and the 5th Research Fair Workshop Exhibition at NSUK in 2019.
He is a registered member of the Association of Professional Counselors in Nigeria (APROCON). In terms of responsibilities, he was appointed as an Assistant Lecturer for Career Counseling in 2024, a position he currently holds.
His career objective is to develop and contribute effectively by utilizing his professional skills to enhance organizational goals. His hobbies include reading and travelling.
